CH Bird Elementary School Principal

The Sun Prairie Area School District is looking for a dynamic, student-centered, and equity-focused administrator to become the leader of CH Bird Elementary School in the growing community of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. We are seeking a self-reflective, innovative, equity-focused, and visionary leader who has a core belief in seeing diversity as an asset and will create a collaborative environment with all staff and families. Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 Years of School Administrative Experience (Preference given for experience in schools that are racially, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse)

  • 3 Years of professional educator experience at the elementary  level

  • Master's Degree in Educational Administration 

  • Possess and maintain a current Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) license for Principal (51).  Additional licensure as Director of Instruction (10) or Director of Student Services (80) are highly valued.

  • Demonstrated alignment to District Vision and Core Values

Desired Qualifications

  • Multi-lingual with a preference for fluency in Spanish and/or Hmong
