eduCATE-WI Policies


eduCATE-WI partners with Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota to provide course offerings for graduate credit and financial aid. Twelve graduate credits earned through eduCATE-WI can be transferred to the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota’s Master’s Program. Please refer to course syllabus for specific course related policies for grading, late work, absences, etc. Students enrolled in eduCATE-WI will comply with SaintMary’s University of Minnesota academic policies:


Students are expected to attend all course sessions. Failure to attend may result in a grade of No Credit. If a student is issued a No Credit grade, he/she will be required to retake and repay for the course to earn credit. No refund will be issued for payments made.

Background Checks

The State of Wisconsin requires, or may require, a background check(s) for purposes of determining the eligibility of an individual to receive a license to teach in a school within the State of Wisconsin. eduCATE-WI will conduct all necessary and required background checks including, but not limited to, a check relating to the conviction of STUDENT of any crime as defined by the State of Wisconsin from time to time.


eduCATE-WI adheres to the principle that all persons have equal opportunity and access to admission, employment, facilities, and all programs and activities of eduCATE-WI regardless of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, or status with regard to public assistance.

Payments and Fees

An enrollment fee is required to secure enrollment. An administrative fee of $150 will be assessed if student drops before the first class session. No refund will be issued if the course is dropped after the first session has been held. Requests for refunds must be made in writing to the eduCATE-WI office.

Payments are due to eduCATE-WI on the due date indicated on the invoice. Your payment is due on or before the due date. If payment is not received by the due date, you will be assessed a late fee. If payment is not received within 30 days after the due date, you will be withdrawn from the program.

Student enrollment in eduCATE-WI programs will be suspended if tuition payment is not made. Student will be issued a grade of No Credit and will be required to retake and repay for the course if course tuition have not been paid.

Students who apply for financial aid are responsible for making payments to eduCATE-WI while waiting for the disbursement award from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.

A $150 Administrative Fee will be assessed for any change, cancellation, or postponement that occurs after June 15 or November 15 for placements affecting Fall and Spring Student Teaching placements, respectively.

Photo Release

From time to time we use photographs of students in our promotional materials, social media and on our website. By virtue of your participation in any of our programs, eduCATE-WI reserves the right to use your photo in such materials. If you prefer NOT to have your photo utilized, please contact the eduCATE-WI office to make that request.
