Educate-WI Policies

Academics

Educate-WI partners with Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota to provide course offerings for graduate credit and financial aid. Twelve graduate credits earned through Educate-WI can be transferred to the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota’s Master’s Program. Please refer to course syllabus for specific course related policies for grading, late work, absences, etc. Students enrolled in Educate-WI will comply with Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota academic policies:

Attendance

Students are expected to attend all course sessions and engage in weekly online discussions.

Certifications 

If a student decided to add or change a certification, written notification to Educate-WI must be made. Additional fees may be required. 

Background Checks

The State of Wisconsin requires, or may require, a background check(s) for purposes of determining the eligibility of an individual to receive a license to teach in a school within the State of Wisconsin. Educate-WI will conduct all necessary and required background checks including, but not limited to, a check relating to the conviction of the student of any crime as defined by the State of Wisconsin from time to time.

Authorization to Release Information

Student authorizes Educate-WI to duplicate and release student records on file to any school in which student is being considered for practicum experience or any other official agency which requires such information for licensing or program-related purposes. 

Payments and Fees

A non-refundable enrollment fee is required to secure enrollment. No refund will be issued if the course is dropped after the first day of the semester. 

Payments are due to Educate-WI on or before the due date indicated on the invoice.  If payment is not received by the due date, you will be assessed a late fee. If payment is not received within 10 days after the due date, you will be withdrawn from the program.

Students who apply for financial aid are responsible for making payments to Educate-WI while waiting for the disbursement award from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.

Photo Release

From time to time we use photographs of students in our promotional materials, social media, and on our website. By virtue of your participation in any of our programs, Educate-WI reserves the right to use your photo in such materials. If you prefer NOT to have your photo utilized, please contact the Educate-WI office to make that request.
